Rapid Weight Loss
Thursday, May 29th, 2008Rapid weight loss is often a plan people start because they feel if they do not see fast results from their efforts they will give up, but the way we live our lives these days is also a problem when losing weight. If you are not determined and willing to change your bad habits then it doesn’t matter what diet you’re on, it probably won’t work. The speed at which a person will lose weight depends on many factors; for example:
Genetic conditions Psychological problems Attitude
One thing is for sure, the effects that weight brings are more than just skin deep. Whilst the number of physical and mental effects on an overweight person is great, it is amazing how these can be turned around when a person starts to lose weight. Although using a rapid weight loss plan can help achieve this in a short space of time but there is more to it than that; an approach that combines diet, exercise, emotional support and in some cases, diet supplements must be used if it is to be successful. This will require a regular and routine exercise period every day of about fifteen minutes, preferably a cardiovascular program and a diet that is flexible enough to incorporate personal tastes.
Remember that even though there are many rapid weight loss plans available, everyone is different so not all will work; some people will have faster success than others; this is perfectly normal and is not an indication of failure. If you are not losing weight as fast as you would like, you can always change aspects of the plan you are on and adjust the amount of exercise you carry out each day but you will know your body and limitations better than anyone else. Whilst most systems do work, there isn’t one that will work for everyone that uses it so you may have to try another if the one you are using isn’t producing results; this is quite natural.
You would be wise to choose an exercise method that suits your physical abilities so if all you are able to do is walk then that is fine; this is proven to be the best exercise and as muscles burn more calories than fat it’s also best to put on a little muscle which will make you look good too. Many people who are dieting forget the importance of staying hydrated; whether on a rapid weight loss program or not, don’t forget the benefits of at least six 8oz glasses of water each day because it also flushes out nasty toxins as well. Avoid fat drenched deep fried foods which can also mean fish and chicken if you are eating the wrong part of the animal.
Grilled food is better as the fat is not retained in the food or if it is, very little so it will be much healthier for you. It is not a good idea to cut out carbohydrates altogether as they are the fuel your body needs to keep going. By sticking to this type of plan you can expect to lose around a pound in weight per day but bear in mind that once you stop, the weight will go back on again.
